Fiestas are held on 15th August, the day of the Assumption

Areso, a village with 300 inhabitants, is on the other side of the A-15 dual carriageway.

Places of interest are the town hall, Casa Consistorial, which has a rococo- style coat of arms on the facade below the roof and the curious octagonal washing place, which has recently been restored.

The church, iglesia de la Asunción de la Virgen, was burnt down in 1794 and rebuilt at the beginning of the 19th century.

The traditional-style hermitage, la ermita de la Santa Cruz, is situated on mount Ulizar.
